Twitter now bans people for posting FACTS that “offend” liberals

Social media censorship of politically incorrect content is reaching a crescendo, as reports continue to flood in about Twitter users who are having their accounts suspended and even permanently deleted simply because liberals find their conservative viewpoints “offensive.”

The situation is particularly dire in the United Kingdom, where as many as 10,000 Twitter accounts have thus far been closed down at the request of the British government, which is accusing them of containing “hate” speech – which is code for content that liberals simply don’t like.

In the case of a man named Tommy Robinson, it was some facts about Islam that resulted in his Twitter account being slapped with a permanent ban. Robinson had posted about how Muslims are vastly over-represented in child-grooming gangs throughout the U.K., which is what triggered his removal from the platform.

Because nothing Robinson ever wrote or even insinuated had anything to do with actual hate, he’s now suing Twitter for blatant censorship of factual information. There’s also legislation currently in the works that seeks to legally prohibit Twitter, as well as Facebook, from censoring conservative content.

Nick Monroe, an independent journalist from the United States, has also been targeted by Twitter over factual information that paints Muslims in an imperfect light. Monroe had decided to conduct an investigation into a U.K.-based group known as “Tell MAMA” that functions as a type of tattletale network to rat out anyone who expresses criticisms against Islam – and for this he, too, was banned from Twitter.

As it turns out, officials in the British government from all political parties have been pressuring Twitter into censoring accounts that it accuses of engaging in “Islamophobia,” as defined by Tell MAMA. In other words, say anything bad about Islam that depicts Muslims as anything other than perfect little angels and you’re an “Islamophobe” who needs to be purged from Twitter.

Twitter never gives an explanation for bans – it just says “cya!”

Despite being private platforms that people sign up for of their own volition, services like Twitter are still bound by the guidelines and standards they put forth as part of the signup process. These include promises to treat users fairly by not discriminating against conservatives, for instance, who hold viewpoints that might contradict with those held by liberals.

But Twitter is in obvious violation of these standards with its coalescence to government demands in the U.K. that all conservative Twitter users be pulled from the platform on the basis of “hate.” Twitter is also refusing to perform due diligence in actually providing legitimate rationale behind its bans – presumably because there isn’t one.

In Monroe’s case, he wasn’t told by Twitter why his account was banned, nor was any specific content highlighted as having violated Twitter’s rules and guidelines. When asked about this, Twitter apparently told one media outlet that the company “[doesn’t] comment on individual accounts for privacy and security reasons.”

Once news about this cop-out began to spread, Twitter suddenly and again without explanation arbitrarily reinstated Monroe’s account and ended what would otherwise have been a permanent ban on his publishing of content via Twitter.

And it isn’t just Islamic-related posts that are being targeted by Twitter. Conservative Twitter user Mark Samenfink had his account locked for seven days after posting some statistics showing that black people kill other black people more than all other races combined. He also commented on how almost all major terrorist attacks are conducted by Muslims – for two strikes, you’re out!

Samenfink appealed this temporary ban, but was refused any recourse. He thus had to wait the full seven days to see his account reinstated, with no explanation from Twitter as to which specific policies or guidelines he allegedly violated by stating facts.
